I asked this question on Twitter but I also wanted to ask y'all on here.
Currently, I'm writing the script for my new Spider-Man audio (the new movie was amazing) but I need some help with a decision! It'll again be Spider-Man speaker x Black Cat listener but I wanted to know what y'all would prefer to be addressed as in the audio.
If you didn't know, in the comics, Black Cat's name is "Felicia Hardy" and in the Spider-Man audio I made a while back I simply referred to the listener as "Cat" to avoid potentially breaking audience immersion.
Here's my question!
Would you as the listener prefer your character to remain unnamed as to better self insert into the audio or do you not mind your character having a name as you're able to play along as if the character's name IS your name.
sorry for that being so long lol.
I will say, as a writer, I'd prefer the listener character to have a name. That way emotional beats can potentially hit harder and overall language doesn't have to skirt around the listener's name all the time. However, I just want to gauge how y'all feel about it.
Please let me know your thoughts, it really helps 🖤
